Very interesting. I wonder what the final product would look like were Displace Inward not checked.
The idiosyncrasies of tools inside Strata Design can be realized and further understood by simply playing with the many different options. Simply to see what happens.

Hello murgatroyd. Good question. I just uploaded an image to the end of the post showing how the render wuold look with the Displace Inward checkbox unchecked.

Hello, It is a texture. You create it from the resource palette, Texture tab, press and hold on the New… button at the left, and select Displacement from the pop-up menu.
