Modeling a padlock

This tutorial shows how to model a padlock type of object using polygon modeling and subdivision surfaces. There are two parts, the first part is the modeling inside of Strata3D 6.1, the second is the UV mapping of this object in Wings3D.

    I need to create some vitamin bottles with labels on them. How would I go about doing this? I thought
    it would be with UV mapping. I am new to 3D so please explain in detail. Is it possible to create a tutorial on this?
