PROJECT COMPONENT: Part 7 (optional). Resetting the bounding box of newly isolated geometry

This tutorial shows how to reset the bounding box of polygons isolated from a larger set of geometry. This is very useful when needing to create new objects with custom bounding boxes (and hence local axes). It also discusses the nature of scale and how it can impact subdivision surfaces.

I’ve re-uploaded new videos for this video. Somehow it had become corrupted so I had to re-record that component.

    Thanks,

Through this discussion I learned of the “select connected” function (I think this is new in 7) which is a huge benefit. I sometimes need to work on TurboSquid mesh which I have had a devil of a time separating prior to this. Thanks for sharing this, extremely useful info.
