Custom guide tip

This quick tip shows you how to manually configure a guide to a specific X, Y, or Z axis but also have a custom location. This is useful when no existing geometry aligns itself to a standard axis but a standard axis guide is needed with a specific location for scaling or rotation.

Modeling a Spiral DNA Molecule

In this tutorial we will model a DNA molecule. There are several ways to do this; which approach you choose will depend upon the exact look you want to achieve: a twist, a spiral, a helix, etc. Here, I will demonstrate an "old school" spiral method that is very effective. Some other approaches may be a bit faster, but this one is very controlled, and also may introduce you to a modeling technique you will find helpful for other projects.
