Subscription Terms

The service begins when we confirm your initial payment. Some subscription purchases require an initial License Fee. We will charge you the subscription payment at the time of purchase, and monthly until you cancel. Once the subscription payment has been charged, that charge is final and no refund is available. The subscription payment is subject to change—but we’ll always notify you beforehand.

You can cancel anytime by visiting your Purchase History page (you’ll need to log into your account before your purchase history will display). In the “subscriptions” section you will find a “cancel” link next to your current subscription. Or you may contact Customer Support. Canceling your membership stops the charge at the start of your next billing term—but your service will continue through the end of your current term.

Subscription FAQ (frequently asked questions)

Can I purchase more than one product as a subscription?

You can only have one active subscription with your username and email address at any one time – but this doesn’t mean you cannot subscribe to certain paired products – see the next FAQ item for details.

Is it possible purchase multi-seat site licenses as subscriptions?
Yes. A single subscription can be purchased as a subscription in a variety of configurations for larger teams. For large teams where the number of seats you’d like to purchase a subscription for doesn’t fit within the preset multi-seat offerings available on the store please contact sales@strata.com for assistance.

Can I purchase a subscription and a non-subscription item at the same time in the same transaction?

Unfortunately the card processing requires that these items be separate purchases, in order for the subscription payments to be set up correctly. Complete one purchase first (the subscription for example) and then return to the Strata store to complete you next purchase.

How do I update my card payment information?

Log into your account at store.strata.com – go to Store – My Account – Purchase History “Subscriptions” section  you will find a link to “Update Payment Method“.  This link will direct you to a secure page for updating your credit card for your subscription. If your payment has failed, your Update Payment Method link will not be available. Contact  Customer Support for assistance.

 If I cancel a subscription can I start a new subscription?

Yes. A new subscription can only be purchased if the previous subscription license has been canceled or expired.

 If I have a Design 3D CX 8 subscription, can I purchase a HDR Light Studio subscription?

You can only have one active subscription. HDR Light Studio cannot be purchased as a subscription after you’ve already begun your Design 3D CX subscription. The only way to subscribe to HDR Light Studio is to purchase both subscriptions at the same time using the bundled subscription. HDR Light Studio can be purchased as a standard license and used with a Design 3D CX subscription however.

 When is my next payment date?

Subscriptions are monthly from the date of your initial purchase.  Log into your account at Strata.com (go to the menu Store > My Account > Sign In) then go to the  Purchase History page “Subscriptions” section” (go to the menu item Store > My Account > Purchase History). Below the list of subscriptions it will tell you “Your subscription is active and will renew on (date)”

 How do I Cancel my subscription?

Log into your account at Strata.com (go to the menu Store > My Account > Sign In) then go to the  Purchase History page “Subscriptions” section (go to the menu item Store > My Account > Purchase History). At the top of the list of subscriptions you will find a link to “Cancel Subscription”. You will then be asked again if you want to cancel the subscription. You will still be able to use the license until your pay-through date has finished.

 When I Cancel, how long is my Subscription good for?

Log into your account at Strata.com (go to the menu Store > My Account > Sign In) then go to the  Purchase History page “Subscriptions” section (go to the menu item Store > My Account > Purchase History). Below the list of subscriptions it will tell you “Your subscription is active until (date)”

Why was my initial payment more than my monthly subscription?

Your initial purchase may have included an upfront License Fee and the first month payment. Non-upgrade products require an initial License Fee. The License Fee, combined with the subscription payments, is substantially less than purchasing a standard license. Typically upgrades do not include License Fees.
