NOTE: This version of Design 3D requires MacOS Mojave (or newer).
License Information
This update is for current existing active subscribers of Design 3D CX Mac. There is not a new serial number issued with this upgrade. You will be using your existing Design 3D CX Mac subscription license number.
To download, install and activate the upgrade use the following instructions:
- Step #1 – Download. Click on the Blue download link above titled “Download Design 3D CX Mac x64“.
- Step #2 – Install. Launch the downloaded installer application and follow the instructions.
- Step #3 – Complete the Activation Process. You’ll need your original subscription email receipt from Strata. This email you’re reading DOES NOT CONTAIN your license number. You’ll need to locate your original subscription email receipt, which contains the license number you’ll need to use for activating this x64 upgrade. Once you’ve installed Design 3D CX, launch the application. The splash screen will come up with a field in the upper left to enter your subscription license number. Enter your license number from your original subscription email and click on the Activate button.
- License Note: When you attempt to activate the x64 upgrade using your subscription license you may find that you don’t have an available activation with that license. If this is the case, you’ll need to deactivate your previous install of Design 3D CX 8 for Mac in order to have an available activation on your license.
- Step #4 – Start Design 3D. Once the application has activated successfully, click on the “Continue to Design 3D” button in the lower right of the splash screen/activation dialog. Design 3D CX will start and you’re ready to begin creating!

Questions you may have regarding your subscription:
This Design 3D CX 8 x64 for Mac requires an active subscription license. You’ve selected this upgrade because you have an active subscription. You can cancel your subscription anytime by following the instructions under the section titled “How do I cancel my subscription?” below. Or you may contact Customer Support. Canceling your membership stops the charge at the start of your next billing term – your service will still continue through the end of your current term.
When is my next payment date?
Subscriptions are monthly from the date of your initial purchase. To see when your next subscription payment will be processed, follow these instructions:
- Log into your account at Strata.com
- Once you’re signed in, go to your Purchase History
- On that page you’ll see a “Subscriptions” section”
- At the top of the list of subscriptions it will tell you “Your subscription is active and will renew on specified (date). [date].
How do I update my card payment information?
To access your purchase history and update your payment method for your current subscription, follow these instructions:
- Log into your account at Strata.com
- Once you’re signed in, go to your Purchase History
- On that page you’ll see a “Subscriptions” section
- In the “Actions” column click on “Update Payment Method“
- You will be directed to a secure page for updating your credit card for your subscription.
- Enter new card information and click on “Update Payment Information” button
Important: If you have a failed payment, the Update Payment Method link will not be available to you. If this situation occurs please contact Customer Support for assistance.
Can I pause my subscription?
Unfortunately we do not offer payment pausing on subscriptions. You can cancel your subscription and come back and purchase a new subscription when you are ready.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To access your purchase history and get access to cancel your current subscription, follow these instructions:
- Log into your account at Strata.com
- Once you’re signed in, go to your Purchase History
- On that page you’ll see a “Subscriptions” section
- In the “Actions” column click on “Cancel”
When I Cancel, how long is my Subscription good for?
To see how long your subscription is active for, follow these instructions:
- Log into your account at Strata.com
- Once you’re signed in, go to your Purchase History
- On that page you’ll see a “Subscriptions” section
- At the top of the list of subscriptions it will tell you “Your subscription is active until [date]”.
If I cancel a subscription, can I start a new subscription?
Yes. You can purchase a new subscription any time.
