This post details the updates that are available for subscribers to Design 3D CX for Mac, and provides information about how you can download and use available updates.

Design 3D CX x64 Release

Design 3D CX version x64 is now available as a release product to all subscribers to the Mac version of the product. This version requires an active subscription.

Instructions

To get this latest version you can go to your account on strata.com and find the product and download link, or use the email receipt from the first time you downloaded the subscription product and use that download link (search for subject “Strata Purchase Receipt” in your email). As an alternative, you can get a new download link by getting the free Subscription Upgrade product.

Requirements

You will be able to continue to use the 8.2 version of Design 3D if you choose, but your license may be limited in the number of activations available to you and you may need to deactivate your older 8.2 version of Design 3D prior to activating the x64 version. You can do this by launching the older version of Design 3D CX 8 and choosing “Manage License” from the Help menu.

This version works on Apple M Silicon and Intel based machines. Your Mac must be running High Sierra macOS 10.13.6 or later (though we continue to test with the very latest versions of macOS and intend to fully support these releases from Apple).
