Updater Requirements
You must have Strata Design 3D CX 8.0.x, 8.1.x or 8.2.x in order to update to version 8.2.2.
SE users: This update will also update Design 3D SE 8.1.x and 8.2 to Design 3D SE 8.2.2. This update will not update an SE product to a CX product. SE users will need to purchase an upgrade to the CX version and input the purchased serial number in the SE Manage License dialog.
NOTE: The 8.2.2 update is NOT a Design 3D CXi or SE 7.5 (Mac App Store) update. Software acquired through the Mac App Store is updated through the App Store.
To update your Strata Design 3D CX 8 software to CX 8.2.2 do the following:
- Download the Strata Update disk image (dmg): https://downloads.strata.com/products/strataupdate.dmg
Click Here to Download Update [NOTE: if you’ve previously downloaded the Strata Update application you will still need to download for this update] - Open the newly downloaded strataupdate.dmg
- Launch the Strata Update utility application
- Follow the update steps outlined in the Strata Update window to update your Strata Design 3D CX 8 application
- You may be prompted twice to enter your admin password during the update process
